About me

For years I was a world class consumer of personal development books, TED Talks, and podcasts. In 2020 I decided to take action and start creating. It all started with a personal development blog - you can find the blog via the articles page. The blog took a back seat when Twitter became the main part of my creator journey.

But it has not all been smooth sailing. I failed at Twitter twice before becoming a successful creator. ‘Failing’ created some valuable lessons.

If you want to be a creator, you have to create on your terms. This is how you maintain consistency based on everything you have on the table.

This has been the most important lesson on my journey - it is the reason I have published online every day for over 500 days.

‘Live life on your terms’ is my most important principle. This is how you optimize your schedule to get the most out of life and achieve your most important goals.

Twitter Spaces have become a huge part of my creator journey. I have used the social audio forum to connect with people across the world who are passionate about similar topics. Speaking in Spaces is also a great brand builder - share some value and you enhance your reputation and increase your audience size.

I have hosted 150+ spaces and been a speaker in many more.

The creator journey has led me to making friends across the world, coaching, and writing a book.

I wrote ‘Effortless Public Speaking’ with my co-host of the Public Speaking Space, Derek Moore. Without the creator journey I would not be a published author right now. The opportunities that come from creating online are incredible.

Alongside creating I have a 9-5 job as a Management Consultant.

Balancing creating alongside a job is not a small task, in fact the time element, plus maintaining consistency was a big barrier to me getting started.

The answer was systems.
